About Heartland Real Estate coproration
Heartland Real Estate Corporation (HREC) is owned by Jimmy Wohl, a third-generation Florida real estate practitioner and consultant with more than 30 years of experience. As the owner/broker of HREC, he has a long history involving all aspects of real estate transactions and land use issues. With a love of the land since childhood, he has had numerous opportunities to round-out his real estate knowledge and experience.
In 2008, Heartland Real Estate Corporation (HREC) was the top-selling real estate agency in the area with qualified Multiple Listing Service (MLS) sales of more than $117 million in residential, agricultural and commercial real estate. With one office located in the four-story Wachovia building just south of Sebring on U.S. 27, HREC currently has four full-time and five part-time real estate agents and is seeking to expand with quality agents. “I am proud that HREC agents seek creative ways to help buyers and sellers connect with the right property to fit their needs,” says HREC owner/broker Jimmy Wohl. “Marketing is at the heart of what we do and that reflects in our 2008 sales results.”
About Jimmy Wohl
After graduating from the University of Florida, Jimmy moved to Sebring to serve as President of American Home Service Corporation, the real-estate subsidiary of Home Savings Bank, and to manage his family’s cattle ranch. During his tenure with American Home Service, Jimmy was responsible for several land transactions and developments, including the 600-acre golf course community known as Golf Hammock Country Club.
In 1994, Jimmy was recognized for his exemplary land management and environmental stewardship efforts by the Florida Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services, the Florida Cattlemen’s Association and the National Cattlemen’s Association. During a trip to New York City, he represented Florida during editorial board visits with Newsweek, Time, Life, New York Times, United Press International and the National Audubon Society to discuss environmental stewardship practices and land management in Florida. In 2009, he was asked to speak at the National Association of Conservation Districts in New Orleans at their Annual Meeting.
Both buyers and sellers benefit from a broker with experience in developing golf course communities, professional parks, negotiating governmental acquisitions and affecting land use changes and acquiring development entitlements. Because of Jimmy’s vast array of real estate experience and knowing how to make your investment work for you, no other real estate broker can so easily identify with the client’s needs. With more than 30 years in buying, selling, developing and merchandising real estate, Jimmy is quite selective about who works with him. He has put together a professional group of individuals with knowledge and experience in real estate that is ready to work for you.
